Description

In 1926, the women of New Avalon, a commune of spiritual mediums on an island in Vermont's Lake Faraday, vanished. All that remained were five dresses hanging from the branches of an old oak. A century later, struggling actress Marin Keane wins a part in a major film about the mystery, which comes with a week's research trip to the island itself. She is joined by legendary actress Violet Wright and much-hyped director Ronan Peters.

The island soon unsettles the cast with strange noises in the night and old symbols left behind by its former occupants. When a sudden health emergency strands them there, the disappearances begin again. Is someone trying to derail the production, or is the island's supernatural past catching up with the present? Marin turns to the diary of Daisy Rue, one of the vanished women, for answers.
