Superworm

Super-long, super-strong and always wiggling to the rescue.
Reading guide
Superworm is a standalone picture book, so there is no order to follow; simply read it from the first page to the last.
Superworm is always wiggling to the rescue of his garden friends, stretching into a lasso, a fishing-line or a skipping-rope. When the wicked Wizard Lizard gets hold of him, the smallest creatures in the garden must hatch a cunning plan of their own.

Description

Superworm can stretch himself into a lasso, a fishing-line or a skipping-rope, and he is forever wiggling to someone's rescue in the garden. Julia Donaldson's bouncing rhymes and Axel Scheffler's bright, busy pictures make him a proper hero, all loops and swagger, with his insect friends cheering him on.

When the wicked Wizard Lizard captures him, the rescuer needs rescuing, and it falls to the smallest creatures in the garden to hatch a cunning plan of their own. The book is about friends being brave for one another, and its rousing refrain is one that young children will be chanting along to by the second reading.
