About this book

The story

Little Red Riding Hood is now teaching Teratology, the new Principal is an angel, and Mitch would rather forget the year he has just survived. The second book in Rebecca Hall's Symphony of the Cursed trilogy follows on from Instrument of Peace, as Mitch, Hayley and Nikola return for their final year at the International Academy of Magic on the shores of Lake Moawhango in New Zealand. The Host want the Instrument of War, the one thing that could end the long stalemate of the Eternity War, and they are not fussy about who gets hurt finding it.

With the Fallen spying on everyone and a Faerie-blooded exchange student adding to the confusion, Mitch is left angry, wary and piecing together secrets. A school story with fairy-tale monsters and warring angels, it suits teenagers who like their fantasy dark and clever.
