Stick Man

Stick Man lives in the family tree with his Stick Lady Love and their three stick children, and all he wants is to get home to them. Then a dog mistakes him for an ordinary stick, and he is carried further and further from home. Along the way he is thrown, snapped up and put to work in all sorts of ways, while he keeps insisting to anyone who will listen that he is not just a stick.

Julia Donaldson's bouncing rhyme and repeated refrain make it a joy to read aloud, and Axel Scheffler's pictures follow Stick Man through the seasons towards a snowy Christmas. It suits small children who love joining in, and any family wanting a warm, funny story about finding your way back to the people you love.
