# What Took You So Long?

What Took You So Long? is Daisy May Cooper's first novel. Cooper is the writer and actor who co-created This Country with her brother Charlie, a series that won a nation over with its deadpan portrait of village life in the Cotswolds. She has already told her own story in a memoir, and here she turns to fiction with the same unguarded humour.

The publisher, Gallery UK, has kept the plot close to its chest. The blurb promises bad exes and buried secrets in a novel that is both hilarious and gripping. It suits readers who enjoy Cooper's mix of the funny and the painfully honest, and who have an ex or two they would rather not think about.
