# We're Going on a Ghost Hunt

Four bunnies set out into the Halloween dark to find five little ghosts, each hidden beneath a lift-the-flap. Along the way there are screechy bats, black cats, white owls and pumpkins, and the bunnies also have trick-or-treating to finish before they hurry home for bed.

Martha Mumford wrote this lift-the-flap picture book, published by Bloomsbury Children's Books in 2023. The flaps give small hands plenty to do, and counting the ghosts gives the search a clear shape, so the mood is spooky without being frightening. It suits toddlers who want a Halloween story with a little suspense, and it reads well aloud on the night itself.
