# Veil of Echoes

Veil of Echoes is set in Prague at Christmas, when market stalls, mulled wine and the St Nicholas Eve celebrations of Mikuláš fill the city. The seasonal backdrop is central to the book, and it is paired with a crime story that has a sharper edge than the festive setting might suggest.

The trouble starts during those celebrations, when a government official and a British tourist are stabbed. Interpol sends Susannah Roscoe to find out why. It will suit readers who like their murder mysteries served with snow and spiced wine, set against a European city in its winter finery.
