Cadets walk into the valley, and either a dragon chooses them or they do not come back. Rebecca Yarros returns to the world of Fourth Wing to show how some of its best-loved pairings began, including Xaden Riorson and Sgaeyl, Brennan Sorrengail and Marbh, and Sloane Mairi and Thoirt.
