# The Wolves of War

Published in 2026 by Little, Brown Book Group, John Gwynne's epic blockbuster *The Wolves of War* draws on Slavic mythology. The Clans once honoured their own gods and traditions until northern invaders brought fire and blood, leaving them a conquered people. Ivan wants nothing from wars or kings beyond keeping his family safe, above all his daughter Halia, who has been trapped in her own body since birth.

At night Halia dreams of running with wolves and speaking with the fae of the forest, and many believe she is cursed. Her awakening powers may be all that stands between her family and the coming storm. Two princes have become mortal enemies, and an iron-toothed witch haunts the shadows as mighty nations clash and old magic stirs.
