The steps

Before the fame, Sylvester Stallone was a young actor with a script he believed in and very little else. In The Steps, he tells the story of his unlikely path to stardom and of how Rocky, the underdog story that made his name, came to be written and made.

Stallone writes from the inside about the long odds he faced. The publisher describes the book as gritty, inspiring and heart-wrenching, and it is a natural choice for anyone who has ever cheered Rocky up those steps or bet on themselves when nobody else would.
