# The Last King of Faerie

Drusilla Blackthorn is in her third year at Shadowhunter Academy when a chance encounter at a nightclub becomes a kidnapping. Dru has long been a familiar face on the edges of the Blackthorn family's adventures, and here she steps into the centre of the story, with the faerie realm named in the title never far away.

The publisher describes this as the first book of The Wicked Powers, the final Shadowhunters trilogy, which brings Cassandra Clare's saga begun in The Mortal Instruments towards its conclusion. It is written for readers who have followed the Shadowhunters this far and want to see the long story begin to draw together. Walker Books published it in 2026.
