# The Frozen Carriage

Figgy Edmunds is taking the festive special steam train from Swanage to Corfe Castle, hoping for a gentle Christmas outing. On board, she runs into friends from the Lyme Regis Women's Swimming Club, and the meeting brings a brief moment of awkwardness. The mood changes when the train steams straight through Corfe Castle station and comes to a sudden halt a short way down the line, leaving everyone aboard puzzled.

Set in Dorset, the story pairs winter steam with a cosy seasonal atmosphere. It is a Christmas puzzle built around a stalled train and a carriage full of familiar faces, suited to readers who enjoy a festive mystery with plenty of company.
