# The Elsewhere Express

Raya has been getting through her days without a dream of her own, until a late subway ride home sends her thoughts drifting and she wakes aboard the Elsewhere Express. The train offers its passengers purpose, peace and belonging, but Raya must find her own compartment before time runs out. She meets Q, an artist, and together they pass through a boarding car carpeted in meadow grass and a dining carriage where passengers picnic on lilypads.

A mysterious stowaway brings a dark magic that threatens the train. Samantha Sotto Yambao, author of Water Moon, writes with dreamy tenderness about grief, loneliness and the search for where you belong, and the publisher describes it as Ghibli-esque. It is a gentle, hopeful fantasy for anyone who has felt a little lost.
