On Wings Of Blood

Half-fae, last of the dragon riders, and betrothed to the highblood who hates her most.
Reading guide
Start at the beginning, when Medra arrives at Bloodwing Academy and learns of her betrothal to Blake Drakharrow.
Medra Pendragon, half-fae and told she is the last of the dragon riders, finds herself a student at Bloodwing Academy, where highbloods rule and blightborn students are treated as pawns. An ancient ritual binds her to Blake Drakharrow, the highblood who has tormented her since they met, and she must survive the academy's deadly competitions while keeping a dragon-shaped secret.

Description

Medra Pendragon is half-fae and, she is told, the last of the dragon riders, though there are no dragons left alive. That has not stopped the vampires from seizing her and enrolling her at Bloodwing Academy, where the highblood elite rule and blightborn students are little more than a supply of blood. An ancient ritual has also betrothed her to Blake Drakharrow, the cold and arrogant highblood who has tormented her since they met.

Briar Boleyn weaves Arthurian legend through deadly trials, risky lies and a secret shaped like a dragon, all told in Medra's wry and defiant voice. The shop describes it as slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers romantasy with plenty of spice, for readers who like their academy fantasy with teeth. The publisher's hardback edition has foil on the board and designed endpapers.
