One omnibus of more than 500 pages gathers issues 1 to 20 of Clive Barker's Hellraiser and the first Annual, a new chapter written for the official continuity. Barker, who wrote The Hellbound Heart and brought Hellraiser to the cinema, returns to the material himself. The publisher notes that the collection redefines the legacy of the Cenobites and Pinhead.

Barker shares the writing with Christopher Monfette and Brandon Seifert, among others, while artists including Leonardo Manco, Stephen Thompson and Jesús Hervás give the Cenobites their ornate and unsettling look on the page. Having the whole run in one volume lets readers follow the mythology as it is reshaped.
