# Grand: The Autobiography of Gromit: as told to Nick Park

Gromit has never said a word on screen, yet in this book the long-suffering beagle tells his own story, as told to Nick Park, the man who created him and his cheese-loving inventor companion, Wallace. The narrator's point of view is the dog's, so the familiar partnership is seen from the side of the one who usually has the sharper view of things.

The voice is dry, unflustered and entirely sure of itself. The opening makes clear that a dog is doing the talking, and that confidence carries through the book. It will suit anyone who has grown up with Wallace and Gromit, and those who always suspected the quiet dog was the real thinker of the pair.
