# Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Greg Heffley and his family set off in the car for a cross-country camping trip, and it doesn't take long for things to go awry. They end up stranded at a campsite that is far from a summer paradise. When the rain arrives and the water starts to rise, the question is whether the holiday can be saved at all.

The Deep End is written as Greg's diary, so his self-serving and put-upon voice carries the story, with Jeff Kinney's deadpan cartoons on nearly every page. It suits younger readers who already know the Heffley family, and anyone who has endured a rained-off holiday with their own relations.
