# Agatha Christie: A World of Mystery

Published by British Library Publishing in 2026, this book looks again at the life and work of the author who created Poirot and Miss Marple. Her popularity has remained undiminished since her death fifty years ago, and the book draws on the Christie Archive to explore her career and the enduring appeal of her stories.

Alongside that material, the book gathers voices from the theatre, film and television, fellow crime writers and Christie specialists. Together they consider both the woman and her work, which makes it a fitting read for anyone who grew up with those famous detectives and wants to learn more about the person behind them.
