# A Family Affair

Lady Amelia Smallhope and Pennyroyal are time-travelling bounty hunters, and this book finds them recovering from a near-fatal shooting and hoping for a quiet spell in the sun. Someone who knows about Pennyroyal's past has targeted them, and the pair are suddenly very vulnerable. Smallhope's habit of answering trouble by making it worse sets the tone of the story.

Jodi Taylor, known for The Chronicles of St Mary's, brings the same mix of brisk danger, sharp jokes and genuine feeling to this adventure. Readers who enjoy history travelled at speed, and heroes who refuse to apologise for themselves, should find plenty to like.
