# A Carol and a Killing: A Canon Clement Christmas Novella (Canon Clement Mystery)

Richard Coles brings Canon Daniel Clement, rector of the English village of Champton, into the festive season in this Christmas novella. Clement has never been far from a body, and the run-up to Christmas gives him no rest. The story draws on the carols and parish life that Coles knows from the inside, and it is published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson in 2026.

Expect gentle wit and plenty of churchly detail alongside the mystery. The novella suits readers who like their murders cosy and their mince pies with a side of puzzle, and it makes a short, seasonal read.
