The Forest Called You

The Forest Called You, Volume 1, is a dystopian science fiction novel set in a future Korea ravaged by dust clouds and the Akanta virus. In this society, citizens escape their grim reality through virtual reality simulations. Eighteen year old Soop suffers from VR Rejection, a disability that leaves her isolated and bullied. Her only comfort is K-pop music, which serves as her primary connection to a world that feels increasingly artificial.

This LGBTQ+ romance follows Soop as she meets Yichae, a famous idol filming a music video at her high school. While Soop seeks a genuine connection, Yichae struggles with the pressures of maintaining authenticity and beauty standards in a world of androids and artificial intelligences.
