Ascendance of a Bookworm: Hannelore’s Fifth Year at the Royal Academy

Half a year after Yurgenschmidt gained its first underage aub, Hannelore of Dunkelfelger, now an archduke candidate for the country's top-ranked duchy, faces a problem no amount of swordplay can solve: a lengthening list of marriage candidates and a heart that cannot make up its mind. Her father favours a childhood friend, her half-brother enters the contest, and Wilfried, the one she actually cares for, remains tangled in the middle. With Liebeskhilfe the Goddess of Binding apparently meddling, she turns to her dear friend Rozemyne for help.

This first volume of Miya Kazuki's spin-off sets the noble politics of the main series beside a warm, comic romance, and adds two original short stories and four-panel manga by You Shiina. It suits anyone who finished the Bookworm saga wanting more time in its world, and more time with the endearingly indecisive Hannelore.
