Naughty and Nice: The Good Girl Art of Bruce Timm

Away from the animation studio where he helped shape Batman: The Animated Series, Bruce Timm has long made pictures purely for his own pleasure: pin-ups in the old good-girl tradition, drawn in the clean, economical line of his animation work. This collection gathers more than 250 of them in colour, ink and pencil, from city sophisticates and hard-boiled dames to jungle queens and ladies from fantastical lands. About half were drawn for the book's first edition in the early 2010s; the rest come from his studio archive of the 2000s.

There is nudity throughout, so this is strictly for adults, and this edition leaves out the superhero pieces included in the 2012 printing. For admirers of Timm's graceful, streamlined figures and of classic pin-up art, it is a generous and personal sketchbook.
