USS Burrfish (Ss-312)

Patrol reports were written by submarine commanders for their superiors, not for posterity, and that is their value. Here are the complete declassified war patrol reports of USS Burrfish (SS-312), an American submarine that served in the Pacific during the Second World War, part of the long campaign that choked Japanese shipping and left the ocean under American control.

For naval historians, modellers and anyone researching the submarine war, this is primary material: the record as it was set down at the time, without later embellishment.
