The Roar of Justice

Amos was a shepherd and an unlikely prophet, yet he carried a message to Israel and the nations around it that still rings out: God cares fiercely about justice. Bible teacher Vanessa K. Hawkins works through this short, fiery book over eight weeks, with five days of guided study each week and video teaching from the author alongside. Her framework moves in three steps, asking what the text says, what it means and how to respond.

Hawkins holds God's righteous rule together with his deep love and his desire for all people to flourish. She shows justice running through the whole of Scripture rather than confined to one prophet's pages. It suits a church small group or a single reader willing to be unsettled, and changed, by an ancient voice.
