This story blends elements of fairy tales, folk tales, and legends and mythology to chronicle the history of a powerful coven. Established two centuries ago in Salem Village, these witches have survived centuries of persecution, including witch hunts and hangings, to protect the secrets of their woodland sanctuary.

The plot follows the coven as they battle demons and dark warlocks to ensure the forest survives. While a new queen takes her place in the coven, her brother Eli returns to claim a birthright he believes is his. This final confrontation determines the fate of the magic users, as the loss of this battle would mean the total destruction of the coven in The Witches of the Forest: The Final Battle.
