Beginning with the well-known case of Henrietta Lacks, this expressive work collectively explores how a largely inaccessible corporeal interior becomes visible and racialized in the public sphere.

At the same time, a focus on the inside of the body and its most overexposed racialized parts (bones & blood, brains & hearts, guts & wombs) questions black feminism's attachments to metaphors of surface and depth, interiority and exteriority, organic and inorganic, visible and invisible to make its claims to political life.
