## About this book

Behind the cheerful public face, Miranda Hart was quietly unwell, and this memoir is her account of the long road from illness back to health. The title is a confession of sorts: a comedian known for falling over and breaking the fourth wall turns to what she kept from view, and to the lessons those years taught her.

The tone is gentle and honest rather than dramatic, with hard-won wisdom offered the way a friend might share it over tea. It suits anyone who grew up laughing along with Miranda, or anyone in a slow recovery of their own, and it makes good company on a quiet winter afternoon.
