Michael

Michael has had a big life, full of abundance and applause, and now he is dead. Or at least he is fairly sure he is. He is offered the chance to go back, but the offer comes with a catch, and he lands in a time he had tried very hard to forget.

Bob Mortimer, author of The Satsuma Complex and The Clementine Complex, has a knack for finding warmth in the oddest of setups, and this premise gives him plenty to work with: a man given a second go who must face the years he would rather skip. It suits anyone who likes their fiction funny, a little strange and kind at heart.
