Sun & Scythe

Ophelia Blanc is the Reaper's daughter, raised on one rule: Death does not interfere in the affairs of gods and mortals. Then a Hero Council mission goes wrong, and Hattie, a descendant of Ra and the bright, joyful centre of Ophelia's life, lies dead at her feet. One tug at the afterlife brings her back and turns her into the Eye of Ra, a living nuclear weapon tied to something rotten within the Council.

Sara Raasch's second Heroes and Romance novel is a sunshine-meets-death love story with Egyptian myth and superhero politics in the mix. Its heroine has noticed that her father's rule says death doesn't interfere, not that it can't. For anyone who likes their fantasy romance queer, mischievous and willing to tear up heaven and hell for love.
