Sex Tour in a Hearse

Sex Tour in a Hearse, Volume 1, is a provocative collection of queer poetry written by historian and author Owen Keehnen. This work of LGBTQ+ literature blends political anger with ecstatic desire, serving as both a meditation on community and a historical time capsule. The poems explore the diverse landscape of the queer experience through a lens of raw emotion and scholarly insight.

The trajectory of Sex Tour in a Hearse spans several decades of queer history, moving from the early days of Gay Liberation to the realities of AIDS and queer aging. These poems reflect on the significance of bathhouses, bars, and parades, grounding the poetry in real-world social movements. This volume of literature and fiction offers a vivid exploration of identity and the passage of time within the LGBTQ+ community.
