Incarnate

Edward Mayus is a DNA researcher with an extraordinary request hanging over him. Before his brother Stephen is killed in a terrorist attack, Edward is asked to implant DNA taken from an ancient relic, DNA said to belong to Jesus Christ, into his own body. When the relic comes into his hands after Stephen's death, he goes through with it, rewriting his own genetic code.

What follows is strange and unsettling: changes in Edward that border on the miraculous, and lives around him turned upside down as the people closest to him try to make sense of who, or what, he is becoming. R. J. Blizzard sets laboratory science against questions of faith and asks what it would really mean to become like Christ. It suits readers who like their thrillers laced with theology and their mysteries with a spiritual edge.
