About this book
The story
The Silver Queen Volume 1 is a gripping work of Westerns fiction that follows Daniel, a junior manager at a mining company. After the events of Independence Pass, Daniel struggles to balance his family life with a dangerous past involving a bank robbery in Leadville. When he is tasked with transporting the massive Silver Queen statue to the Chicago World's Fair, he uses the trip as a cover to search for his long lost mother and sister in New York.
This fiction novel weaves together multiple storylines involving Daniel's brother Patrick, who is fleeing an Irish detective, and a vengeful man named Hamlett Kincaid. As the Sherman Silver Purchase Act collapses the silver industry, the characters converge on a private train. The plot culminates in a high stakes poker game where the freedom of Daniel and Patrick is gambled against the value of the Silver Queen.
