About this book
The Southern Presbyterian, a weekly newspaper, started in August 1847 in Milledgeville, Georgia, its capital from 1807 to 1868. In 1853, it relocated to Charleston, South Carolina, then Columbia, and finally, Augusta, Georgia.
It featured notices from across Southern states, not just Presbyterians. It's a great companion to a 2004 publication.
Published with the R.
J.
Taylor, Jr., Foundation's grant from Atlanta, Georgia.
