Evaluation of Erosion Hazards

Coastal erosion & its impact on the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) as well as the economic viability & environmental integrity of coastal communities is a major concern of the nation. An analysis was conducted of possible changes to the NFIP based on a national-scale coastal erosion mapping survey.

This report presents a range of policy options for eroding areas, evaluates the effectiveness of each option in reducing erosion losses, & makes recommendations.
