Gaberdine Swine

The inspiration for this cartoon strip came from a vicar who mistakenly preached a sermon on gaberdine instead of Gaderine swine.

For Roy Mitchell, the images this conjoured up of pigs in raincoats began to develop and eventually grew into the regular cartoon strip.
