140 pages 11 x 8 1/2 x 1/4 " startwrite with Basic Reading is a handwriting book for beginning reading. It is designed to provide handwriting instruction and practice while reinforcing phoneme-grapheme relationships.

The configuration of each letter os the alphabet is always taught in association with the sound it spells.

Each letter is presentes and reinforced by writing it, by associating it with its sound, and by using it to spell words.

Words and sentences that contains the new letter and review letters previously intorduced are written by the children.

The letters, words, and sentences are presented in conjunction with patterning and by writing from dictation.
