The Two Towers

The Two Towers is the second volume in J.R.R. Tolkien's iconic epic fantasy series, The Lord of the Rings. Following the breaking of the Fellowship, the story splits into parallel threads of courage and treachery across Middle-earth. As Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli pursue the captured hobbits Merry and Pippin, they become embroiled in the war against the corrupted wizard Saruman and his fortress of Isengard.

Meanwhile, Frodo Baggins and his loyal companion Samwise Gamgee journey toward Mordor to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom. Their guide is the duplicitous Gollum, a creature enslaved by his obsession with the Ring and yearning to reclaim it. With the Dark Lord Sauron amassing his forces, the hobbits must navigate treachery and despair, carrying the fate of all Middle-earth on their small shoulders.
