Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Greg Heffley has landed squarely on the school bully's radar, and for a boy whose usual tactic is keeping his head down, that is a serious problem. His one comfort is that his best friend, Rowley Jefferson, takes karate, so at least someone is in Greg's corner. Then an unexpected twist arrives, and the odds tip firmly against him.

Jeff Kinney's mix of diary entries and scruffy cartoons finds plenty of comedy in playground pecking orders and in a friendship tested under pressure. A treat for young readers who already know Greg's knack for making things worse, and an easy way in for anyone meeting him for the first time.
