Law Commission: Annual Report (Command Paper)

The statutory duty of the Law Commission is to keep the legal system under review and make recommendations for change, in order to ensure that the law is as simple, fair, modern and cost-effective as possible.

The annual report covers the work of the Commission during the 15 months from January 2002 to March 2003.

Events during this period include: the appointment of a new chairman, the issue of 16 publication including 10 consultation papers, five new law reform projects started, and a full external review of the Commission.
