Forest of Secrets

Acclaimed writer Saadia Faruqi—author of the Schneider Award Honor Book The Strongest Heart—spins a twisty, thrilling murder mystery with family and true friendship at its heart. Rafi Janjua loves nature.

Going camping? Not so much.

When his parents are called away to Pakistan to care for a sick relative, Rafi is rushed off to a summer camp he’s never heard of, with a counselor cousin he’s never met. Luckily, Camp Magnificent has it all: lush forests, great hiking, fancy food, and survival training.

The only downside is a persistent camper named Leena Khan.

Leena is headstrong and extroverted, while Rafi prefers animals to people.

But the camp also has a killer secret.

When the discovery of a body in the woods begins a camp-wide investigation that points to Rafi’s own cousin, Rafi and Leena realize that beneath the shiny surface of Camp Magnificent is a sinister history . . . one that threatens everything they hold dear.
