Paddington's trick or treat

A party for family only sounds like the cosiest sort of Halloween evening, and Paddington can hardly wait for it to begin, just as soon as he is home from trick or treating. Then Mr Curry, the grumpiest neighbour in Windsor Gardens, invites himself along, and the fun begins to curdle faster than a jar of marmalade left in the sun.

Luckily, a bear from Darkest Peru is never short of ideas, and Paddington has a special Halloween trick of his own that might just rescue the night. It is a short, funny picture book with a few spooky surprises, built on Michael Bond's much-loved bear and his long-suffering neighbour. Lovely for little ones who like their Halloween more giggly than ghoulish, and a cheerful one to bring out each October.
