## About this book

Twenty-seven years have passed since the sun last rose, and vampires have spent them conquering the night and everything in it. Gabriel de León, last of the silversaints, holy warriors sworn to defend the realm against the dark, sits imprisoned by the creatures he once hunted, forced to tell his story to a vampire historian. From that cell unfolds a tale of faith, ruin and a desperate hunt for the Holy Grail.

Kristoff writes big, bloody and unapologetically dark, with a narrator whose swagger and grief share every page. It is the first book in a series, and for anyone who likes their fantasy brutal, foul-mouthed and soaked in gothic atmosphere, it is a long, savage feast.
