## About this book

Amber Reynolds is in a coma, and she wants you to know three things about her: she is in a coma, her husband doesn't love her any more, and sometimes she lies. That final admission sets the terms for everything that follows, because hers is the voice telling the story, and she has already warned you not to take it on trust.

Alice Feeney's debut is a dark, unsettling psychological thriller built around an unreliable narrator and a marriage that has curdled, leaving you to weigh every line Amber offers against what she might be holding back. A television adaptation is on the way, with Sarah Michelle Gellar as Amber. It suits anyone who likes to be kept off balance by the person telling the story, and who enjoys arguing over who to believe once the last page is turned.
